Vergere, IanSane and I were sitting in the MechSpecs lounge and dreamed up this build. It's a bit of a modest proposal. I mean, you've got to do something with all of those energy hardpoints. Note: I haven't played this build yet and I realize that it's in serious need of AMS. I'll let you know how it goes when I get the cbills to fit it with special equipment.
I ended up using something similar to this tonight, with some minor differences. The first was using a single ER PPC in the high energy mount rather than the dual regulars. The second was using all three laser hardpoints in the body and putting the dual LLs in the arms. The last was not adding endo-steel (GASP!) and stacking a total of 19 DHS into the mech. The heat from the ER is still ugly, but it has performed very well for me so far - similar damage performance to my Muromets, but additional testing to be done! One odd thing with this setup is that there's a ton left over that you can't do much with. You could drop one of the DHS and use an AMS, or cut out a half ton of armor and throw in a BAP. I'd probably lean towards the latter until it's fully elited.
