PGI has released the Victor battlemech (production variants) a week early however you can only purchase them for MC. Because of this we have opened up the ratings system on the Victor battlemechs. I assume within an hour or two Smurfy will have his system all up and running properly for the mechs themselves using the actual data/hardpoints/specs that are supposed to be on the FINAL versions (he had many placeholders until the info was released). I bought a 9B when they put the servers back up LOL I broke down I really wanted to get all of these mechs but am holding off till next week on the rest. I have my Dragon Slayer and my 9B to play with in the mean time. Also you need a LIKE button so I could just like this instead of responding to it lol
I may be too old, but what's the point of all those "like" buttons? Anyway, I'm curious to see how many Victor we'll see this week. I'll personally never ever ever buy a standard variant with MCs, but I'm curious.
well, this is a new strat for PGI to get the money from us. I am broke however, so I'll wait till I can purchase with c-bills.
At least its not pay to win, however i agree, i'll spend this time grinding c bills untill they release.
You should have named it "(Let the Rantings Commence)" Pointless sale. Had this been during CW and you had actually something to gain from having it a week earlier than everyone else, maybe. But at this point of the Beta, nope, I'll wait the week. Besides I'm nailing that Phoenix Project this week. I'm not so sure PGI will do well with this, at this time. Had the Phoenix Project not yet been released, it would have fared better. But I'm betting I'm not the only one saving up for the Project 'Mechs, soooo yea, no extra goodies for us this round.
Waiting till full release. Can't justify spending real cash on a mech. I would rather put it towards the Project Phoenix and gain a lot more for my buck than just a mech I can buy with cbills.. fwiw
Well, here's where you need to change your view of thinking. Don't justify it as spending. Justify it as a donation to the further development of a game you have long waited for. I just donated towards the Phoenix Project. Do I want all the 'Mechs in the package? Probably not. I'm sure certain variants will stand out above the rest, and they will be the 'keepers'. I am also a Legendary Founder, sadly only own one Hero Mech, and have made a couple MC purchases for colors and cockpit items. Have I ever spent dontated this much on one game before? (paintball, but that's besides the fact). But then I remember I've been playing hardcore for over a year now. Have I gotten my money's worth of entertainment? Hell YES!! I've met some great people from all over the world, have enjoyed a lot of fun camaraderie, have partaken in some intense 'Mech battles, and so much more. Can one really put a price tag on that? As far as I'm concerned, I have not spent one dime on anything to do with the game. I've donated toward the revival of a passion.
I understand what you mean, but I'm sure you can spend (ok, donate) at least 300$ for stuff you can't buy with c-bills. And even you own every hero mechs, you can buy premium time, camos, goodies for your cockpit, etc. Why would I spend money on a standard mech?
I actually never had to farm. I'm just playing, and oh miracle I have cbills. But if I had too, I'd rather pay for premium time and hero mechs than for a standard mech.
