Fly high, shoot at the pinnacle of your jump, land, repeat. Make sure that you have some cover between you and your target when hitting the ground again.

Why not? He is so agile and can reach tremendous heights. The higher you jump the more time for aiming you have. In addition you can help out your team because you draw fire from them. Many enemies get annoyed very quickly and try to catch you. Try some hit and run tactics.
I usef to run mine with a smaller engine and only a single MLas as backup, but was also mounting dual AMS for helping out the team as much as possible. Nowadays I prefer the BJ3 for poptarting purposes, so I was thinking about using something different on the 1AA. Starting point were a single PPC (LA) plus dual AMS
Basically, I take too much return fire. Compared to the Panther the Vindicator is HUGE. Compared to the BlackJack it must expose its whole upper body in order to shoot. I also find it has weird inertia, like it floats, probably because I have more jets on this mech. Anyway, it makes me falling back behind cover much slower than with other mechs, hence much more time for the baddies to shoot back.
