"The Parthian shot was a military tactic made famous by the Parthians, an ancient Iranian people. The Parthian archers, mounted on light horses, would feign retreat; then, while at a full gallop, turn their bodies back to shoot at the pursuing enemy."

Hello all, i wanted to share my favorite mech build. Initially more of an experimental / "because you can" build but after using it for a couple of weeks its actually a lot more viable / not suicidal as it may appear at first.

The build, created to make full use of its great ERPPC velocity quirk, has reduced armor to make room for a second ERPPC. Available armor is carefully distributed over its vital components to keep it effective as long as possible.
Obviously its main weakness is its durability. However, the Viper VPR-B has excellent features for a skirmisher / sniper: high mounts, great speed and jump capabilities, acceleration and deceleration combined with the ability to hit hard at extreme ranges allows it to contribute pretty well and stay alive until either victory or last man standing. Heat is the other issue, special attention is needed to not shut down, 2 alphas and the heat scale reads +/- 95%...

Poke / poptart / hill hump at range, relocate after two alpha's and use single fire when pressured. Around the end of its optimal range (+/- 900m) return damage is either minimal or dodgeable. Oh yeah.. try not to brawl ;)

Challenging but highly rewarding Viper build!
