You guys know me, I'm a staunch supporter of MWO, PGI and IGP but I gotta say that whoever is in charge of these sales isn't really in touch with what the community wants or needs. I had my $99.95 ready to go for the top tier MC package. I have put my wallet away (again) for a third week in a row. I will continue to wait until they make a sale that is worth while.
What I'm looking for, granted, is pretty specific. I won't buy patterns unless they add the option to get the pattern on all Mechs instead of just one. I already have the paints I want, I'm not spending $300 to get every color. If I could afford it, I'd put it towards a different hobby. What I want is hero mechs, premium time, and MC. I also notice they haven't done a special bonus weekend for a bit, i.e. double XP or 20% bonus on hero/founder mechs. It's been a couple decent sales and a couple lame sales.
It will be interesting to see if option 1 is bigger than either option 2 or 3, or if it will be buried by both of the negatives.
The third option isn't really a negative because some people may purchase stuff to help support the development of the game yet still wonder who makes this stuff up LOL at least that was the intent. I've changed it to "Indifferent" to be less negative sounding
Hence the problem with a 2-party system. But seriously, this last sale was a joke. If the camos were 1/2 off AND applied to every mech I'd consider buying one. I've only been around a short time, and the only sale I've seen that I cared about was the one with X-5s and Wangs 30% off. Anything that's %off MC for normal mechs, camos, or colors is "don't care" for me. My guess for them taking so long for a discounted MC sale is $$. The longer people who want the discount wait, the better the chances of them giving up and buying MC at normal cost. Since I started playing there haven't been any MC sales, so I'm looking forward to one myself.
