It's Disney. I assure you it will suck. They will probably make it less a simulator and more a casual arcade game. Think World of Warplanes in space. Lame.

Sure but for the most part we're talking platformers and casual games. Not hardcore flight sims like X-Wing or TIE Fighter. Obviously it's too early to know for sure but my prediction is this will be a cheap ($30 or less... free to play?) arcade flight game that is 3rd person perspective only.

Edit: Now that I look at the ad for it a bit more the "regular updates" with new items every month sounds exactly like a F2P title. This will be World of Warplanes for Star Wars fans mark my words.

 

I play league a lot. But I also play a lot of games on steam, for example I just got FTL and the new Starbound over Christmas. I know they aren't "online" games, but you can play with buddies on Starbound

 

Mh...let's see: Hearthstone (not that motivating except for arena play), Path of Exile (not that much anymore, pure grinding sucks) and Dota 2. So basically it's 80% MWO these days

 

Path of Exile is great. It's visually not as great as D3. But it somehow has much more depths in character-development! I like it!

Yesterday i've bought Sacred 2 Gold Edition for some few bucks. I never played that game, but it looks very similar to D3/Path of Exile.

Sacred 2 gets old quick but it was fun for what it was. I think you'll continue to like Path of Exile more.

 

This is my list.

The Fallout series, command and conquer and it's plethora of mods, total annihilation, Mechwarrior series, mech commander, final fantasy 7, super metroid (hacks and original), Earth 2140 and 2150, XCOM, Fury3... I could add a few more but those are the main ones.

I really enjoy my fallout 3 because I modified the heck out of it (weapon sounds, new death voices, sound effects, mods etc...) and the various super metroid rom hacks.

I sure love my retro games :v

 

I'm trying to find one I want to play. Not even MWO fits the bill right now.

 

If you're still looking for Mech action, check out M.A.V. by Bombdog Studios. It's in Alpha right now, but there's a decent sized community developing around it. It's meant as a Spiritual Successor to ChromeHounds, though, so if you didn't like that game, this one might not be your cuppa- though it's different enough that it's definitely its own game.

Just a bit of news from M.A.V., my other main Mecha game: The Kickstarter just passed $10,000 last night- halfway to funded. And this is only a few days after it opened. Drop by, pledge a few bucks if you want- 20 gets you the game forevermore, and higher pledge levels let you do a little to help build the game world itself (suggestions and working with the designer, not outright control). We're kinda stoked about this over on the official forums.

 

just got my closed beta key for this. It's pretty fun actually with way more leveling/customization than I would have thought. Controls are a little crappy (not as crisp as the xwing/tie fighter games) but works well enough. I'd post the 5 friend beta keys they give you but it looks like V3rg got in trouble for that earlier
