Yen Lo-Wang "Ranger" (1xGauss, 1xERLL, XL295)

    I haven't seen this build here though have spotted it in the field. The weapons are of similar ranges. Best played by wide flanking, taking pot shots from far in the enemy's rear or through the front line. Is fast enough to escape an incoming heavy. Watch out for lights.

    Place your ammos in the arm. It would make some kind of a crit buffer; better it to be destroyed (it won't explode) than the gun.

    This build is great fun to play, 5/5 from me! I switched over from my AC20/2x MLas build to try this and see how the increased range would feel, and it is an absolute terror. I found ammo to be lacking in the 12v12 matches so I dropped the engine/armor some to carry another ton of gauss and it is working out rather well.

    Using a 9D would give you better arm mobility, while still keeping your fast engine.

    Exactly this. The combination of Gauss + ERLL is fine for YLW, but it's better in the D variant. BUT a hybrid of this and the more 'classic' build works surprisingly well:
