Oh yeah I forgot that I had 7 kills on Thunderbolt free mech as really first match on it forgot to screen but then since it was first one I could print in stats page. http://mwomercs.com/forums/topic/155821-win-5-games-get-a-free-mech/page__view__findpost__p__3305250
The most offensive thing in MWO from a teammate to teammate standpoint is an Atlas who won't press or get into the fight and just wants to throw long range shit. I'd always have the same reaction, something like - "GET THE FUCK OUT AND UNINSTALL NOW" ps - even though I haven't played the game in a year, I can still make cringe derp builds effortlessly: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=151&l=d1fbb1758112ff38eadccfe49272ec13e86428bf
Underpowered, but I'm sure it's really fun (I had something similar on the Locust). Of course, the arm hardpoint having only one tube, it will piss the missiles away and unsynchronize the launchers
Hence the reason I've never purchased Atlas... Once variant that is worth grinding for 11m C-Bills per variant... NOPE!
I don't see the problem with this atlas build. At least it is not a lrm boat. On my DDC, I use lrm5A to soften targets while trying to stay with the main group to povide ECM cover. I then switch to main weapons when I close up with enemies and even 2AC/2, 2LL can do massive damage. I prefer using 2 LB10x and 2 LL but I don't think this build is really cringeworthy. @Cpt Chattahah : Leveling ATLAS is a real pain, but a mastered DDC is really a pleasure to pilot.
Yeah, the basic loadout isn't bad, especially considering I can't hit anything with SRMs. The main issue is that it looks to be very low on ammo (3 tons of AC2, and 2 tons of LRM). I go through 3 tons of AC2 ammo running a single AC2. With 2, he'll be out of ammo in no time. This also looks to be a fairly light build, so he's probably rocking a pretty big STD Engine in there (can't access Smurfy at work ). I think with some optimizationing, this could actually be a pretty decent 2nd line mech that can provide ECM coverage for your LRM boats and snipers. In regards to leveling the Atlai, I truthfully didn't mind it too much, though all the hardpoints were so similar it got a tad boring. I actually found leveling my Banshees (with the exception of the 3E) to be much more of a slog.
While I agree that the Atlai has suffered in the meta, they are still playable and can deal some major hurt still.
I would love to master a DDC... Just don't really feel like spending the 35m C-Bills it would take to get three operational Atlas.
Buuhhhh... That's all I can say... How the hell does someone equip that and click launch??? An alpha of 10 points spread to multiple structure points and then troll weapons doing NO damage to armored opponents??? ... ... ... I'm... wow. I'm absolutely certain I could to better in a Spider with a single Medium Laser...

I bet he was great vs them, especially with that extra speed. BAP because why not, and the Command Console seemed like it was necessary to help take up tonnag-I mean help with a second commander giving orders, I mean where else would the spectator sit?
Everyone knows Command Console is the shiznit, like so http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=33&l=4271eca48a05714aaa3ce9206882e09ab2a3932e
