Looks like a bit of an attempt to counter clan advantages. ER PPC for range, 20 pt single panel and 20 pt ML. Its possibly not making best advantage of the hard points but its not that bad surely?

 

It seems like the sort of CTF that could be nasty on a map like Canyon or River City (and maybe HPG) when things get into brawler range...I could see that thing actually being nasty in certain situations. Certainly not the worst build I've ever run into

 

Like I said. A different type of cringe. "Argh, why does it burn?" as opposed to "Argh, what were you thinking?"

 

Indeed. Definitely 3-4 star material, most likely 4 star even.

 

Caught a glimpse of this Cicada earlier...specifically avoided killing him until I could get the screenshot. I don't think that counts as mercy.

Not that bad really, a bit hot yes, but not really cringe-worthy.
In fact, drop one LLas and pump up the AC10 to a Gausss and it is pretty cool.

Well, does seem to be a xp farmer build.
Useless for the team maybe, but quite effective for xp.
You can get NARC/TAG bonus, along with assist xp with the LRM.

Gauss in the XL side torso is fun for a few rounds, but ultimately counterproductive.

 

In fairness the guy was amusing. We were 11 down vs their negligibly damaged 5 heavies and assaults and he kept running around directly behind the people tagging/narcing them. They just had no idea each time he was literally right behind them. A right Benny Hill few minutes. Was hard to dislike him despite how awful the build was for the team.

 

Please don't make me want to pilot one.

 

Ran into one that I thought I had a screencap of, but I guess not. I'm really hoping it was a "loadout save error" moment, because I want to believe that no one would do this intentionally.
